I've always been interested in old records and the like, but never really understood what makes stuff worth hundreds and others worth just a couple of quid.
So what's in your collection? Anything very sort after or just your personal favourites?

I have a shade under 3000 12" singles and about 500 albums. Is there anything collectable? No idea.
Like all things, its only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I do have about 250 white labels, all mainly dance stuff though. |

I've got a small collection of stuff I like nothing really valuable, and I picked up an old Linn turntable a hifi buff was selling for £100 (Basik). Sounds fantastic. It's nostalgia though, most of my stuff is on CD.

I recently sold all my old CD's as i've got everything in MP3 format now. The guy in this old school Hi-Fidelity style record shop offered me way more in store credit which got me thinking about vinyls...

I have a fair number of 50's & 60's 45's as well as 230 78's and a grand old 1962 radiogram to play them on, they include original pop stuff of the day like the beatles, animals, sam cooke that kind of thing, no idea what they are worth, but an afternoon spend spining the discs with all the old memories is priceless.
Cheers Mark.

![]() Especially view are promo's that haven't been signed to a label. Usually single sided. Most of my stuff is played to death. Joys of being a dj for over 20 years. Would I sell it? Doubt it. It's not worth what I paid for it so no point. The funny thing is that I don't currently own a record deck lol ----------------------------- Sent using the power of Jelly Babies and HTC |

I have about 800 albums of the Jazz, Funk and Soul variety. Still play them now and then. I have a Rega Planar 2 (upgraded with new arm and motor) hooked up to Arcam AV amp via phono amp.

I have Abba's Arrival and Micheal Jackson's Bad on LP. I can explain neither of these possessions.
My parents however have some real classics. Beatles and Beach Boys spring to mind, all originals, all in the same condition they were when they left the shop. My Mum also has a fair few 45's, all classics she's picked up over the years. |
