Default Lidl Air Compressor Thursday 8th 2011

Just letting those with an interest know that Lidl have a cheap air compressor on sale from this Thursday at £80...

Me and Stretchie have one. Got ours last time they had them. I understand then they were re-badged Wolf Air sold as Powercraft and this one looks identical.

I see they are also doing some air tools as well though I'm not sure of the range. Last time I also bought the ratchet, impact gun, and regulator.

The only down side that Stretchie discovered and helped me solve was the connectors. They are crap and can leak air. So a trip to Machine Mart and they were replaced for much better ones. I think I added another £40 in connectors but this depends on what tools you have and the set up your going for. But even out of the box the setup was usable and was a very good price for what we need.

Yep, they come with euro connectors as standard. Only thing is they are crap and they leak air (before any ones jumps to euro connectors defense I am saying the ones on these compressors and the matching tools are crap).

Make a note of what connectors you need, e.g. male or female for each tool and any corresponding connector parts and go to your nearest machine mart type place and replace them. And don't forget the PTFE tape. It makes a massive difference. Apart from that It's not a bad little compressor, when I get into a new house with a garage I'm going to search for a second hand one and link the two up so it lasts longer between cycles.
