Today I discovered my SV650 has a tool kit. Well I haven't actually found where it is yet, but I know it's there somewhere. I have looked under the pillion seat but there's no tool kit there. Any help?
![]() Also, are there any other little surprises the SV has that I should know about? |

I found mine under the battery, under the main seat. Kind of a stupid place to put it, as you need tools - allen keys to get the seat up, a mini catch 22 if you have no other tools!

On the left hand side, below the seat still visible below the left infill is a small tab that releases a black plastic cover. Behind this is should be the standard tool kit.

As he says. That rectangular vertical box between rear shock and rear tyre. Pull on the top cylindrical tab until it clicks and remove sidecover by droping a little to release cover from catch at the bottom. What's in the box? (picture Noel Edmonds) If you are lucky there may be some tools left by the previous owner in a plastic carry case. Mine came with added leaves and feathers on top of the air filter in the airbox! That was a surprise.

I suspect you'll be a bit annoyed if you take the seat off and remove the battery only to find you still can't get to the tool box!

My Thou' came with two tool kits, it had one in the rear compartment under the rear seat, while the other was under the battery, which I didn't find till I took the battery out to add some attachments, was a joyous find, lol

Left hand side behind the rear shock. Just pull the plastic tab to reveal the toolkit.
Mine was quite tightly packed in and when I eventually got it out and looked at what tools came with the bike it took me a while to get it back in again and sitting flush!
