Default Griso/ZRX1200/CB1300S?

Has anyone on here ridden any of the following:

Moto Guzzi Griso (8v or previous)
Kawasaki ZRX1200
Honda CB1300S

If so which one?

What did you think?

What kind of riding/roads did it suit?

Did you venture on track at all?!

How was it on motorways?

OK with pillions?

I'm interested in any experience you have had on the above bikes.

ridden all three Tim, the commonality is they are all heavy and lack a "flickability" you'd find on a normal bike.

The Griso is gorgeous, if a bile could be said to have "panache" then this one has it it spades, it's comparatively slow, I doubt many would even consider it good performance wise, but and here's the kicker great fun and unlike most bikes, ridden without the "big di*k syndrom" it's a winner, trying to keep up with Jap SS6's....you'll be left wanting, no idea about pillion as I've never tried.

The ZRX is all Kawasaki, it's all about the engine, very strong and long legged, almost step-less power, you'll have no trouble with all day pillion on it, hard work to throw around, but it can be done, nice Lawson colours to.

CB1300 looks stunning in the white edged red panel colour scheme, and feels the most modern of the three, good powerful engine but bulky, bit like a everyday bike on steroids, you could use it everyday if you had to.

HTH

Cheers Mark.

I've had a Moto Guzzi, albeit not the Griso. Great for mile munching but no fun on the twisty's. It just pulled, and pulled, and pulled. The first weekend out I thought the Sunday traffic was on a go slow till I looked down we were travelling, er em, very quickly - two up.

ZRX... big lump, feels big, makes proper big bike power. Snort, shove. Excellent fun. Wallows about a bit but does weigh as much as the sun, holds a line alright but you have to set it up for corners and follow through with it.

I've been on back of that bike and had no problem, comfy. Handling isn't much worse and I bet it'd be fine with a bit of a twiddle.

Track no, bet it would handle it OK though. And you'd look well 'ard.

Motorway... eats it for breakfast. I noticed one bit of vibration that kicked in at 92mph or something daft, not bad at all though. Loads of grunt to make it really easy.

I'd say it best suits sweepy A roads or being a wazzock through the town centre

I've had CB1300 for about 6 years now. Does eveything Honda style without the bland Pulls like a train however you load it and is quite capable of hustling along.
A mate of mine had the ZRX and I did a few miles on that. as said before , a good engine etc but to my mind the overall package did not compare..
FWIW
