Default Classic Car Rescue.

Would be much better without those two clowns.

Still, I like the way they think, they have a mechanic with 30 years experience fixing cars and a bloke who has made his name buying and selling cars.

So, they send the mechie to buy the cars, and the car seller to buy the parts.

Still, was funny when the car buyer reversed a car straight from the paint booth onto an engine on a hoist last week

Would be even better if they concentrate on the mechanics.

Not watched this weeks yet, taping it. That way I can skip through all the crap and watch the bits about the cars, not the contrived relationship and Hollyoaks quality of acting. The downside of this approach is that I condense a 1 hour show into about 16 minutes.

So last week they reversed a freshly painted car into a suspiciously placed engine (hilarity ensued). I wonder what incident will be staged for this week...

Just a rip off of Discovery Channels Wheeler Dealers which only has one clown and does concentate a bit on the mechanical side

What a bodge job they made of it. Hardly any panels lined up, slopped paint everywhere and I cringed as i watched him scrape the distributer with a screwdriver and lead solder the wires together.

Thanks for that, given me something to watch on a night shift.

It's just like wheeler dealers but with staged arguments thrown in. Reversing the E-Type into that engine was pretty funny though.

I got royally bored of it last night.

Possibly the most annoying part is that the show is based around two old friends setting up in business together to restore and make a profit on classic cars....but then you can win the flippin' car if you enter the competition.

I would rather take the two idiots out, make it 5% about buying the car, 90% about the work and 5% selling so we can actually see what real profit is made and enjoy learning about proper restoration, not dramatic Willy waving and questionable skills!

At least wheeler dealers did actually try and show what was wrong and how to fix it, including the odd garage tip for problem solving.

I don't know if Wheeler dealers have a team of mechanics working on their cars off camera, but last nights staged 'Cut & shut' story was cringeworhy, with the owner of the garage knowing more than the 2 mechanics
