Default Gear Link Rod Question

My K6 GSXR 750's gear shift link rod went AWOL during a ride today so i am stuck in 1st gear at the moment, i have an SV650 in my front garden, does anyone know if the SV link rod will fit on my GSXR?

Pictures please.

I remember that I once replaced the shifter rod on SH1 with some threaded rod from Wickes. It was a fine replacement...

If its the right length & thread I can't see why not.

The thread size is bound to be the same

I agree with Maviczap. give it a try you've got nothing to loose. All the rod acts as is a connection. So provided the connection continues to exist then you have a working bike again...
