So do I, but it is very often above what the law suggest I should be doing. I can justify it to myself but am not sure I would be often deemed to be right if the need to explain my actions arised.

I'm just happy the poll was anonymous.

Many years ago, I did try to make a point of hitting five times the speed limit for the last stretch of my commute to work. I've grown up since. A bit.

Our national speed limit is way outdated, having been introduced back in the early 60s when a fast car was a cross-ply shod 1500 Cortina Mk1 that couldn't stop from its top speed of 90 within a week and handled like a drunken pregnant hippo on roller skates. I don't hold with the government's 'Speed Kills' rubbish. Speed doesn't kill, inappropriate speed, bad driving, rappers and a lack of a decent punishment for causing 'death by dangerous driving' does.
+1 Couldn't have put it better myself. Agree with everything.

I also agree with this. The speed kills is known to be rubbish. its been proven so by the figures. I think they figured 8% of accidents were speeding, and that was inappropriate speed not speeding. The majority is bad driving, not looking and under the influence etc etc.
