Looks like word-processor code or some such.

Save your text into a .txt (notepad) file and copy/paste from there

PS: Make sure that there's no double-spaces after full-stops, etc.

I've sussed out the double spaces after full stops the  appears before the £ sign like so Admission £8 I've deleted double spaces but still they appear.

They look like extended ASCII to me. Try lookuptables.com though I doubt that would be of any help as you want a simple answer... So we (all the techies out there) will need to know which programs are you copying to and from and your operating system?

Though the simplest soultion will be to convert the file from which your copying from to a .txt format ie the basic text format and then copy form there. If that fails and you still have the problems just use find and replace to remove them and copy from there.

Incidently the best text editor (plain format) is textpad (textpad.com).

Having said all that I just remembered that I've seen something similar converting from a Unix to windows document or where the keyboard/ program is to old to handle multiple currencys eg Euro symbol/ US dollars/ GBP

I swear by Notepad++

Completely Free/Open Source -> http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/uk/site.htm

syntax highlighting/tabs/etc

very useful.

For a plain editor I use ultraedit. It has nice feature such as being able to work in columns. also is a little bit language sensitive so highlights keywords etc
