Education is broader than solely bookwork. Rules exist in every part of our lives, of which I don't agree with all of them, but need to follow. The earlier you learn this, the earlier you can contribute to society.

Thank you, better put than some dumb drone follow the leader squaddie eh Kitkat?

I think the school are right( 6th form is still school not college) as not turning up at 9 am for registration ( assuming there is in this 6th form, there was in mine) is effectivly a non attendance so techincally they can get her on that.

I use to have loads of free periods at 6ht form and yes some were first thing, but me and my mates still attended.

Your sister should wind her neck in and just abide the rules rather than trying to fight them.
I didnt. If I wasn't in a lesson I wasnt there. No one cared and no one complained. The 6th form I went to is one fo the best public ones in England (apparently). So it shows attending for no apparent reason achieves nothing...

I cant agree.

As for the suggestion that she show up for registration and then sit about all day instead of being home and doing her work, well that just silly.

And if she went in for registration and then "bunked off" and went home and god forbid there was a firedrill or su=omesuch she'd get into a hell of a lot of crap for it.

If you're adult enought to choose to stay for further education and have been a good pupil then they should treat you with the respect an adult deserves and that includes allowing your own time managment and responsibility for signing in and out.
Exactly. Once thing I could never stand and still cant is being treat like an idiot. I hate pointless crap and so I can totally symothise.

are you for fing real, she is 17 not a adult yet. If she wanted to f*ck around and turn up when she wanted she should have gone to a college to do media studies or hymilayan pottery!!!

6th form is a bit more fomal for a reason.

I cant believe you sugested just because she chose to stay on she should be treated differntly to the rest of the pupils in the school.

you said it she chose to turn up therefore she should obide the rules of the school. If she dosent like that then leave.

If she wants to be treated like an adult maybe she should act like one and learn to toe the line like a real grown up rather than crying off because she cant get her own way.
6th form student should be treated like young adults not Children. Like said if they are wanting to keep on with education they can be trusted to turn up for lessons and do the work.

I mean come on its like you turning around and saying to your employer, oh BTW i am not going to turn up to work tomorrow on time as i dont have any meetings till lunch anyway. oh and i dont like my desk and chair anymore!!

WFT are these people going to do when they enter the real world and dont like a rule or regulation.
The employer this is called flexy time

I got to disagree Neio. Bull**** for the sake of bull**** is rubbish. If they can give a valid reason for her being there all day then fair enough. Expecting someone to waste their time is just wrong in my opinion.

That's not be the case, but I can guarentee there is a lot of bull**** for the sake of it. 90% of it is pointless! Im guessing most people just put up with it. Fair enough if you dont mind though.

Sit back and think who has the strongest, fastest growing economy and the smoothest running country at the moment.

Then think again as to whether or not that is such a bad thing compared to what this country is slowly turning into.

Too many bleeding hearts around that think they have the god given right to do as they please because its their human righ to. rather than actually have som moras and standards and actually god forbid do as they are told.

SHe chose to attend this 6th form so she can fall in f**ing line and get on and accept that the reules are for every pupil which includes her.

I mean god forbid she gets on with it and accepts the conditions of attending.

I am not saying all squaddies are dumb drones but if you take the time to think (Ive made it a bit easier by quoting you above) before you speak (slowing your typing down would possibly help with spelling) you will see that most of your comments are related to following orders, doing as you are told, not having your own opinion (unless you are told you are allowed to). As for resorting to bad language and name calling doesn't help your case. Its a sign of a poor education and limited vocabulary, something maria's sister is possibly trying to avoid.

Now before all squaddies get their berets in a muddle, I have served in the armed forces myself.

now go and calm yourself down (yes that is an order)
