£99 Comp (Inc riding other bikes and euro cover for 60 days) with Norwich Union through A-quote.

My insurance is due next month, so will be interesting to see what it is then with 3 points off my licence and one year more NCB. FWIW my SV was £80 Comp with full NCB and 6 points.

I got a fantastic quote from Bikesure too but when I googled them it turned out they're cheap because they'll fight you on everything you try to claim.

Bike: 2001 SV650S
Age: 22 years old
Licence: 2yrs
NCB: 2yrs
Postcode: E16
Points: None (yet)
Security: Almax chain, Xena disc lock, parked on street

£428 TPFT with £750 excess for fire and theft only with H&R Insurance.

Seems that postcode, age and NCB make the biggest difference. My quotes were a hell of a lot lower when I tried my parents' postcode and if I inflated my age by a decade. I console myself by knowing you old sods with cheap insurance are closer to the grave than I am!

Also with Norwich union through A-quote, did you take out the "hero" recovery though the RAC?. I did as it seemed to be one the few that specifically said they would recover in the event of an accident.

anyway
