Re: Blast from the past
When I was 17 I bought one as my first bike after passing my test. I wanted a Mito but couldn't afford it so I got a blue TZR. Rode it round and learned a lot on that bike, how to corner, how to throw spanners, and how to dismount at speed. I powervalved mine with the YPVS kit and could top out at an indicated 96mph if memory serves. It used to shake itself apart, indicators and bar ends were considered consumables, but it was a fun ride.
I still have it in boxes and have been collecting parts to restore it for a number of years now... |

Re: Blast from the past
Wow, I forgot about the TZRs. Someone I used to work with had a blue and yellow one. So much fun to blast about on.
My blast from the past: I very stupidly sold this cheply as I couldn't afford to repair the power valves. Wish I had just sat it in the corner until I could.
