Re: SV special build - S-pokey-V.
Flickr gives a size option when choosing to share, which works on here. Don't know about imageshack.

Re: SV special build - S-pokey-V.
Looking good.
Out if interest what was the fitment issue with the Pace Rad? And how long would you expect that chain roller to last, and what is it made from please? |

Re: SV special build - S-pokey-V.
Not enough clearance between cylinder head and front wheel on full compression unless it was mounted at such an angle to the airflow that the rad would become, to all intent and purpose, a solid wall with no air flow through it.
I'll probably get the custom rad built along the lines of a Ducati race rad with a section that clears the front cylinder head... The roller itself is an off the shelf product sold for dirt and road bikes, it's made from a hard rubber/nylon compound of some kind. How long it will last I'm not sure - Crescent Suzuki had a similar roller fitted to the BSB machines in the John Reynolds/Yukio Kagayama era and a roller lasted pretty much a whole season from what I remember... |

As always, Wow! Your work is amazing.
I Love the Lobster back exhaust, although the work involved must be complex, it is just so beautiful. Inspiring stuff. PS, I like big photos because I can see everything, but then I have a twin monitor, large screen set up that makes it all worth while. For those who find it difficult, remember that you can open the image in a tab of its own. |

Re: SV special build - S-pokey-V.
Front cylinder pipework all tacked up....
Rear cylinder started... Been having fun and games with the radiator. Got a quote from A & H Fabrications for a one-off rad mimicking the Ducati race radiator design. Whilst the amount was reasonable when you consider the amount of work involved and the undoubted quality it was more than I wanted to spend. So I took a punt on being able to modify a Ducati race radiator and bought an ex WSB Ducati Corse 998 F02 radiator. Initial rough fitment looked like a goer... It would require new mounting tabs, the lower bar replacing with a bent one to clear the front wheel and the top fairing would have required minor modification to clear the rad. However, a couple of days after I'd bought the Ducati rad and just before I started permanently chopping it, this appeared for sale on an American SV forum.... Not as good quality as the Ducati rad but doesn't require any modification to fit, so it's winging its way over the Atlantic as we speak. |

Tons of work in there, looks good. I hadn't put together that you were building this, with the other thread about tuning.
