Yeah I enjoyed that. Coulthard seems like a nice guy

Bit of an obvious outcome I guess, but fun to see. The noise that car makes!

Good show, nice and honest as well. No messing about to try and even it out apart from the extra lap which was fair enough.

Coulthard is a decent guy, but I find his crawling over Hamilton and generally helping turn F1 into the Lewis Hamilton show hard to stomach.

Actually the braking game was a whole lot closer than I thought it was going to be, probably helped by Coulthard locking everything up! The slalom was a given, Guy wasn't even trying....

The best message I saw from the whole programme was Guy turns up with a bike in a van, plus one mechanic, the F1 needed 14 people just to get it going. Given Guy was on road tyres anyhow he should have gone the whole hog and ridden there on a road bike, the difference in performance wouldn't have been enough to swing any of the challenges and that really would have told people how good modern bikes are!

In other words you'd have had every health and safety nutter once again asking for these ridiculously dangerous deathtraps to be banned and restricted.

I reckon in the middle would have been best. Turn up on a 30-40k Superstock bike, so it's still a 'race' bike, but wouldn't have the quarter of a million quid price tag.

Unfortunately the crash stats do that for themselves.... No matter how "safe" you try and make things people are still going to be stupid enough not to learn how to use them.

Was an interesting show but I do wonder if a MotoGP bike would have been a closer match on acceleration and braking.

Agree about the one bloke in a van verses 14 in a truck. And it was funny the way they all laughed when DC tried out changing the bike wheel.

Actually the more I think about it Guy may have done even better on a standard road bike. Given he was running treaded road tyres on a slightly damp track (the F1 car was on wets) then in both the drag and braking test the standard bikes ABS, traction control and anti-wheelie might have been useful. Am I right in thinking a BSB Superbike or Superstock bike isn't allowed these, even if they are on the original road bike?
