I've not tested at Castle Coombe but I think I'll be doing this. Good excuse for a ride anyway. I'm guessing it'll be a baffle in job but would want to be sure before booking anything.

Can you just turn up for a DB test or do you have to book ahead?

Also as I'm new to track days what are the necessary items I need to take besides my license, leathers and bike?

Just turn up for a DB test, but don't pick a busy day. I know of some idiot who decided it would be a good idea to try for a noise test while they were running some sort of JapFest car day. You would have thought the queue of cars waiting to get in would have given me a clue...

I'd recommend going down on a bike track day, as you're not going to look out of place then. But by all means give them a call to see what they say.

As for what to take thats basically it. The only thing I can think of now is a full tank of fuel as the last thing you want is the fuel light to come on as you exit the pit lane.

Cool. I'm contemplating going for the BikeSafe event, but it's a bit of a stretch from where I am.
Might need to spend the night on a mate's couch or hotel in order to make the assessed ride.

I need to sort my exhaust. The bike came with a nameless/brandless can that has a sweet sound. I've tried buying a baffle on eBay but doesn't fit.
