My bike only goes fast in a straight line.

Not really... as the others stick to 30's and 40's everywhere else I use the speed limit as an advisory. I pretty much drive the car in the same way...

I think they're all up for grabs. Didn't we have this debate last week?

I feel a need to take advantage of dry roads at every daily opportunity. Thats not very often in sodden Glasgow

I put the OE system back on my other bike and found I was speeding horrendously. I find noisy pipes keep my speeding about town in check.

Selective, is what I would say about my speeding. I go through some feckin' ridiculous 30 limits.

I tend to get paranoid of speeds upwards of 90 mph; I'll generaly keep it below this, although once or twice I've seen over 100 mph. I much prefer to keep a constant speed along a given road, that way I can just roll on and off the throttle instead of blatting along straights then jumping on the brakes, all feels very flustered to me, riding like that (although some roads I like to ride like that; my dad takes me down a couple of country roads that are stright, 90 deg. corner, straight, 90 deg. corner etc etc.

I'll generally do 80 mph along motorways and dual carrigeways, and 60-70 along single lane NSL's (if its safe to do so), but slow down through towns, villages etc.

In london, on the north circ, everyone does 60 mph, so I do 60 aswell. Although not through the speed camera's.

My general views on excessive speeding are: if there are little / no other vehicles about, visibility is good, road condition is good, your good, your bikes good, then go for it. Its your license at the end of the day if you get caught. Just be respectfull of other people when it gets busier and everything.

Matt

As others. keep to 30s and 40s (ish) but open it up a bit on NSL roads. However I don't treat roads as race tracks. Fast? Yes. Careful? Oh yes!

Also is 100mph in NSL places automatic ban plus a massive fine?

I think that having naked bike saves me from being totally silly. Not sure what will haven when I get a Blade.

That's a common misconception. A guranteed day in court, yes, but not an automatic ban.

Personally, I ride to a speed that I deem appropriate for conditions.

At times, I've seen 3 figures, but then, I've also been on the A5 in an NSL doing 5mph (granted it was snowing).

Where you live in Brunstromia you're lucky to get up to 5mph without being pulled for a routine check.
