cheapest full swap would be as Chris has said GSXR-600 k1-3 as they are RWU so no one wants them due to the 'bling' status but are bloody good forks.
your hardest part will be finding a decent front wheel for them. |

I put a complete GSXR 600 K4 front end on my K5 pointy, and sold the standard forks and front wheel (with discs) for more than I paid for the GSXR stuff (Oh thank you Minitwin racers....) I know the upside down forks are a bit bling but by far the best improvement, especially if you are going on the track, was the brakes.
I put a ZX10 shock in the rear, again dead cheap off Ebay and this set up works fine for track days and pretty fast riding on bumpy lanes. |

any gsxr forks excluding the very old and the newer ones are easy fitment on the pointy as they are a direct fit. there are loads of combinations as regards to yokes and forks.
from k1 to k6 your pretty safe but the later yokes have the ignition/lock on the other side from the SV. |

The GSXR yokes go straight into the SV, same bearings. I used a custom top yoke as I converted to straight bars at the same time, but the GSXR one fits. I think you need to use different clip ons as the GSXR ones hit the SV fairing, hopefully someone on here will advise. The rear shock was a 2007 ZX10 one. |

If you're looking to buy an SV then mod the suspension, don't waste your time.
Buy this instead => http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=201191 Comes with all the best suspension mods already done, plus a whole host of other goodies, performance, bling and practical! EDIT: ....AND...it's not too far from Birmingham! |
