I went to a Welsh medium school, but it was always my second language. Haven't really used it for years now so not fluent anymore, although I can still just about understand it, although really have to concentrate.

I would love to say " hello - thank you - good bye , and anything else I say propely, in Spain, Italy, I have noticed the locals appreciate your effort in trying....

On the AR a few years back i pulled in for fuel. The couple of people that were in the shop talking English until i opened my mouth, they then started speaking welsh! Found this also many years ago at a family wedding.
