Fuelling on my Bro's Babyblade is terrible. It's way too rich. Dropped it into a local mechanic with a dyno to try and get it sorted, but he made it worse!!

Update:-

The man from Delmonte say (actually Alistair from Elliotts near Swindon)..anyway, he said VERY unlikely to be a battery problem. He said that as it always starts up no problem in the morning, it is actually holding charge quite well. This is supported by the fact that it will start the bike when it is hooked up to jump leads.

The reason he believes I am having a problem is most likely the reg/rec needs replacing. He asked if I rode with the lights on, I said yes, but always turn them off before turning the engine off and always turn on after I've started up. He said that the reason the bike won't start after I've ridden for a while is that the battery is being drained while I ride and is not getting any charge back in it.

I pick the fork up tomorrw, but that was an odd one. Lifted off the dust cap and no oil inside, which is what you'd expect. When he pumped it, rings of oil were left, so yes, there is a leak, but nothing major. He's going to check it and replace the oil seal as there was a little chink in it.

I then have to (get Stretchie to) put it back on although I'd quite like to do it....with lots of his help. Then ride it over to him, lights off on Friday and he said he'd have the problem diagnosed before I finish making the tea!

Unfortunately it means I won't be riding to Weston tomorrow night unless we can get the forks on sharpish. I could ride there lights off so I can start it again and then ride back lights on and stick the battery on charge.???

Or I could ask Dan if I could take the big blade..........NOT!!!!!!!!!!

If you need someone to get in the way when you put the forks back in I can assist in being a hindrance.

Well, I should be going to pick them up tomorrow afternoon, so if you want to pop here to help after work.......that would be fab.

Basically the guy said that I'll be ok riding it to Weston, s long as I don't ride with lights on, or carry an optimate in the boot to recharge it when at Weston. The I'll be able to ride it home with the lights on (as it'll be getting dark by then) and recharge again overnight to ride it to him Friday morning. Hoping I can get it sorted with him on friday morning so that I can still go for a bimble with Cuffy...but I don't want to be riding it of doing so will make the problem worse.
