Thanks chaps for the above advice.
I've been arguing the benefits to the Mrs (she bought me the bike) as she starts getting hot under the collar when I get the spanners out as it's new.

She didn't mind so much when I had to whip out & fix my 125 engine as it was 10 year old & only cost £600.

I think I'll get as much advice as poss so your help is VERY welcome
