Re: Operation: Commute
I like this one, but then I would.
Cost of building it was probably more than the cost of a Fireblade too!

Re: Operation: Commute
There are some good Grom's in that reel... And some "interesting" ones. All inspiration.
As for the Fireblade rep above I do like the full fairings. I think they are Tyga ones a full kit they do. The only thing I'm not sure about is the handlebars. I'm not sure how the drop clip ons will feel when riding? However there will be a sad update on my Grom shortly. |

Re: Operation: Commute
Yes the Grom requires oil, and yes it has plenty.
However I bought the Grom for a specific reason, to commute. I always new the office move had a timeline, but I have been given an "opportunity". That's not as bad as it sounds. But it means I will be back in my original office soon and so will not require a bike to commute on. So its time to make a decision, is it curtains for the Grom? |

Re: Operation: Commute
No! Now that you don't need it for commuting you have the perfect opportunity to do some serious customisation on it. I look forward to seeing the results.
Your time starts now! |

Re: Operation: Commute
Crap.
Its like using a candle to read a book in the dark, when the candle is in another room. Actually that's a little extreme, its just not very good. In the city I never noticed it, but on some back roads with no street lights it is weak. However a better bulb might help, not really tried as its rare that I'm not in the city on it. Also it could be the fact the light is so low due to the size of the bike... Give it a go and report back! |

Re: Operation: Commute
And this reminds me, I have reached a decision on if I should keep the little Grom.
As I no longer use it to commute on, it is with a heavy heart that I have came to the sensible conclusion that the bike must go. It is to be sold. Off to eBay it goes. Ah who am I kidding! This is one of the best bikes I've ever ridden! I'm keeping it! |
