Oops no more pedal talk I thought
Light as feck, climbs lovely, but I was getting a major shimmy over 38mph on the downhills which was a bit un-nerving. Headset was abit loose, have but a new fork bung in and tightened it up - just need to get out and test it now but have been stuck indoors with bad hayfever all weekend.

Forks are not as forgiving as steel/ali over crappy tarmac however having the tyres up on 120psi does not help - knocking them down to about 110 makes things a bit smoother.

Its a limited edition paint scheme, made to celebrate 20 years of the GSXR, its based on the paint scheme the first GSXR's carried.

Mine is No 2509 out of 5000 made I dont think that a huge number of 750's in that scheme were imported into the UK so might explain why you havent seen one before...

H'mm shimmy's can be down to a number of things, although loose headset is the prime suspect.

Yep, my carbon forks on my litespeed are very harsh compared to the steel ones. My old Peugeot had some Deda forks which were ok, different profile to the Litespeed ones. But the carbon seat stays & post are much more comfy than my steel frames

Currently just one of these (montesa-honda cota 349, '84)
Mine's nicer than that though, and actually RAN today! Second kick too, amazing what new crank seals and correct ignition timing will do for ease of starting...

And one of these

Just mine has been half-arsed streetfightered and needs a load of work. Should be a laugh when it's done though.
