Top Speed

i got an indicated 136 on my sv. thats not the standard clocks either. aftermarket digital speedo whcih i think is much more precise, well i know it definatly is up to 70, as i have tested it with a sat nav system. was on flat as well, so down hill mabye a bit more, tad unstable though. and and a lot of wind blast as its a naked.

Flat out on a level runway i maxed at 135mph tucked in with low wind..

most SV's with a decent rider could p!ss 132 as well

On paper I see this bike attaining very similar figures, in reality I don't see any change

If you read the whole post I was refering to the SV vs a bike I already knew!
I haven't had chance to test it off road yet so have no way of knowing what it will top out at!

As far as legality of speed is concerned I once knew a traffic cop who drove at almost 60 through a village with a 30 limit and at the time had deliberately disconnected the speedo to save mileage on his old car!
What message does that send out?

On my CG125 speeding was definately dangerous! 100kmh indicated felt like i was about to be wearing the piston as a hat and the wheels about to fall off!

109mph thats because im a lardarse and on a restrictor As for what Rictus and the other guys have said, threads have always been restarted like this(i'm guilty for a few) the search is there to save you time and a thread with various answers can then be looked at in one thread.
