Nice one, well done, those voices must have been pretty loud

Haha...

My insurance is £1045, it's about what I paid for my SV last year (I'm in London btw so may be higher than other people's quotes - it's also why I don't have a garage ).

Are you asking about where I got the insurance or the bike? Anyways - insurance is from Express insurance, with the Suzuki £400 subsidy, and the bike was from George Whites in slough (btw they have more black 600s in stock in their warehouse, but they need to be delivered hence an extra week. I've got one from their showroom) for £6423 + £64 for R&Gs to be supplied/fitted.

If you're still looking at getting a garage, you could try MCE - they were my previous insurers and said they'd beat the Suzuki quote *IF* I got a garage - could be anywhere within 2 miles or so. However...cost of renting a garage in London far outweighs the insurance gain, I'd even have money left over to go buy a Tracker Monitor (the better tracker, tells you when it's moving) and pay the £205 lifetime subscription on it! I could probably do that about 4 times really, given a garage would surely be £200 + a month...

I have to confess my voices were pretty loud indeed

Keen to take my money too! Nah, not part ex'ing the SV - going to sell it privately instead so I don't have to take a huge hit on the price. Thought I'd be able to bargain better if I didn't part-ex, too...

I'm very tempted to take Suzuki up on this fine offer too. It's my 25th birthday next week and it would make a lovely present from me to er...me!

However, and it's a big however, I started thinking, 'what else could I get for £6k?', as before I saw the Suzuki insurance offer my plan was to get a Daytona 600 / 650 in the near future which you can get for £3-4.5k.

Looking at the web there are soooo many options if you want to spend £6k it's bewildering. Ok, yes I'd end up paying a fair bit more on the insurance dependant on what I went for (quote for me for a Daytona was around £600) but for £6k you can get brand new Ducati Monster S2R's, nearly new Ducati 749's, nearly new Tuono's, RSVR's, GSX-R750's, and on and on. Don't get me wrong, I think that £6k for a GSX-R600 is brilliant too but now I'm just confused!

I'm going to my local Suzi dealer after work today for him to have a look at my SV and give me a p/x value and if it's reasonable I WILL be tempted to put a deposit on - but would I be better off with something a bit different? Obviously only I can decide but for £6k there are many other very temping options!

Anybody any thoughts on this? (Sorry if it's a bit of a thread hijack!)
