Oh Sid...ye of little faith...in an issue of a bike magazine, I can find out which one tonight if you wish....these blokes cannot get a particular bike to crack 200mph so along comes this little missy and promptly blasts her way to 206mph! Now weight, drag, power and all the coefficients of friction aside, this is a cut & dried case of a bike going faster than anyone predicted. A lot faster. I'm sure yorkie_chris will be able to tell you the exact horse power required to give that extra speed yet all they did was change the rider for a smaller lighter one! Hm!

I have had an indicated 141mph, real speeds I have no idea, no doubt less though.
Bike was 2006 pointy fully faired......13.9 stone Rider + full tank I will also say that this was down a hill which helped matters, and no word of a lie there was abit more left but sadly I was leaving at the next junction (of course this was on my privately owned, slightly down hill runway........with junctions)

I am going to get mine on the circuit speed trap at Snett in September. Not a clue what it will top out at!. Mind you on 15/44 gearing it wont be totally flat crank down that back straight but not far off.
Id reckon on 150mph. But i suppose i might be cheating with my bike slightly ![]() |
