Default Oil Pressure Switch Wire

I need to replace the Oil Pressure Switch Wire, the switch side connector broke off on removal as the bolt was seized in the switch, but that doesn't bother me. The wire does. I have 3 options, repair the wire by replacing the connector, find a replacement on eBay, or buy a new one from Suzuki.

Replacing the connector assumes I can find the correct size adaptor and then successfully crimp or solder it on. Finding a replacement on eBay could be expensive, or not, depending on how much a new one is. And that's the problem, I don't know how much a new one is as I can't find it listed.

I'm pretty sure its going to be available as a spare part as the wire does go to a connector on the main loom. But I can't find it on the parts fiches, can't even find the rubber boot. So can anyone help me by providing a part number or directions of which page of the parts manual I can find it on please?

Can't take a picture of it, it was rusted onto the head of the screw. But it should just be (and forgive me for poorly describing this) a flat connector which is round with a hole for the screw to pass through and secure it to the switch. I've seen connectors like this in crimp connector packs but this is a very small screw so I fear the diameter of the hole will be to big.

If it's the same as the curvy, it's a ring connector, inside diameter 4mm
Just measured the one I got attached to a replacement starter motor

Ring connector, that sounds a perfectly reasonable and logical name, thanks. Not sure it will be the same size as the starter motor ring connector though as that is held on by a 10mm nut and the switch wire by a 6mm bolt or screw. But at least I know the name of the connector now.

However I'm still intrigued to find the part number for it. Even checked the Pointy listing and can't see it there either...

You could buy new terminal from here and solder it on.

You need to measure the size of the screw going through. Their smallest one is 4.3 mm (for 4 mm screw).

Well the good news is I happened to have found a replacement. I was looking for a front sprocket tab washer and found a spare lead. It does however throw up two more questions, that being do I have a spare tab washer, and if I do where did I put it...

But I'm still interested in what the part number for this wire is?

i'm fairly sure that the pressure switch is part of the main loom so you just cut and splice a new wire/ring tab on, the old boot should just slide off with a bit of persuasion.

if the starter wire is the thick one then its the wire from the battery, just disconnect and get one made or buy the 'bend over, i love you long time' one for suzuki.
