Conti Road Attack to Sport Attack
Had been very pleased with Conti Road Attacks.
Have had 2x rear and 1x front which is now in need of replacement. Want to try something stickier for the summer so thinking of changing to sport attacks. (there is probably only 2k on my RA rear, so i'll keep that until the winter and swap back over) People seem to rate the RAs highly, how do SAs compare? |

Re: Conti Road Attack to Sport Attack
Couldn't compare the 2, but i have sport attacks on the trumpet and they are great, get loads of feedback off them, don't warm up as quick as the diablo's i had on the SV. But i find them a more confidence inspring tyre, probably cos i done a track day on them helped me alot too.
I'm sure someone with more knowledge will be along soon |

Not used biketreads, but squirrell hunter has iirc, might be worth sending him a PM.
I usually buy mine off the net and get my brother to fit them. |

No need to PM I am here!
Yep been using BikeTreads for a couple of years now. Always been happy with them, they do part worns which can help if your on a budget and they've always had what I want in stock. The only down side is they are a little bit local, the woman reminds me of Tubbs... But I digress, Skint doesn't like them IIRC as they got ar$ey about his can when he took it to them for an MOT. However I use a place in Bristol for that, with good reason |

Re: Conti Road Attack to Sport Attack
Got a pair of Pirelli Diablos today from bike treads... the local shop, for local people.
Ride in, ride out, fitted in 15 mins, ?180ish. Can't fault them. Then I went for a blast out towards Cricklade, Minety, Basset. Saw a Ferrari F430 Spider and followed him back down the same route (not just me who likes those roads then!). Diablos felt good even scrubbing them in. Can't tell if thats just that new tyre feeling, because my old front was as square as MC Hammer's Flat-top. In the long sweepers the i could pick a line, lean over and it felt solid as a rock. If the weather holds i'm going for a blast up the fosse way to Warwick on Monday so I'm hoping for good things! |
