Have you checked the cut out switch on the left handlebar? It is possible to nudge that when you hit a bump and wonder why it has died.

kill switch is on the right handlebar no?

might have bounced the sidestand off the sidestand cutout switch and caused the engine to cut out, as if you'd tried to put the stand down with the bike in gear...

I doubt very much it would be the clutch switch as this is only for when starting the bike.

It is very possible the side stand switch is the culprit. If its loose on the pivot bolt or it has landed on its side the stand will move about and cut the engine while going over bumps. The switch can be by passed either by bridging the wires or as I have done, cable tie the switch up.
