Default Recommend Me... A Garage Heater

I want to stick two figures up to those tree hugging hippy's and heat my garage this winter. What do you recommend?

Its only to heat it when I'm in there working, as hopefully a more comfortable environment will help motivate me to rebuild my bike. So something that will heat up quickly would be nice. Its a good sized garage, you'll get a car in with plenty of room and there is a good bit of roof space so its larger than average but nothing massive.

As I think most people would say, price is a consideration, however energy type isn't so much. But having said that my rent is bills included so electric over gas would be the way to go here. So anybody else warming their garage, and what are you using?

A cheap electric fan heater will soon heat the place when the door's shut. Plus there's no risk of any fumes.

Dig a wee hole, fill with newspaper and dry wood, get a match and Hey Presto!

Thank you please.

Burning any sort of fuel (gas/paraffin etc) will end up with loads of condensation when it all cools down again. 'Leccy's the way to go.

I use a 2.2kW fan heater but it's quite a big garage so it doesn't really heat it, rather it simply stops it getting too cold.

dad just sold this, wicked bit of kit dog doesnt lay in front of it for 2 long, dads was 16ft by 22ft concrete sectional garage with a tin roof and you only ever needed it on low didnt use much gas either, tbf, biggest downside was you couldnt spray when it was on because of water vapour, and if your working where its pointing its bloody warm.

Those things are insane. We have them at work sometimes. They melt everything in sight!
Overkill for a garage lol
