Default Breakdown Cover Recommendations?

I'm going to GMV this year & thought it may be wise to get some breakdown cover just in case.

Who do people use? Who's good & cheap? Preferably someone that will cover the bike & car......

I use rescuemycar /rescuemybike (forgotten the initials in my drunken haze, begins with N)
They well priced but not quite as good as people make out. Will recover you in an accident though.

Cheers Mark.

Everyone will give you a scare story about how each company didn't do something very well. All I would say is think about the level of cover you have. The basic cover will only be repair at the roadside or take you to a local garage. All very well but what happens if you're 150 miles from home? I have a policy that covers me in/ on any vehicle and takes me and the machine from the roadside if it cannot be fixed there to any UK address of my choosing.

I am with the RAC and have used them twice. My membership covers me for pick from anywhere and will get me to either home or my destination, if I can fix my bike. The cover is for me, in any vehicle and also for helmet damage or loss. It costs me about sixty pounds per year, but will down every year I don't use them.

On both occasions when I have used them, I found them to be courteous and efficient. No one enjoys being recovered and it can be quite distressing, so good manners go a long way.
