Default the end is nigh...

...for the SV650?

The only reasons I could think of for getting rid of the bike would be the difficulty in making the engine pass emission standards or perhaps people perceive it as a "dated" bike and aren't buying it.

There is no doubt the current glorious V twin costs more to make than a parallel twin, this is bean counters at work......

Yes, even though Suzi has certainly got its money's worth out of the SV design, a P-twin is cheaper to make and easier to turbocharge.

2nd that, seen this sort of thing many times over the years, bean counters don't ride bikes.
