Re: Police caled to attend to horrid little troublemakers
Good god Anyone who's ever worked in a pub (and I think we all do this at some point) will recall that landlords will do anything they can to avoid calling the police as it looks bad for them come licence renewal. Pub landlords are expected to handle minor disputes and disturbances on their premises.
Shopping centre managers on the other hand, when faced, not with angry drunken teenagers but carol singing toddlers, are completely unable to manage the situation and have to call the police... Note the stress on the job title, and again on the problem. Surely purely by calling the police the manager in question has shown that they are unable to perform their duties? The police are not a sodding dispute resolution service, grow a pair and sort your own problems out for god sake. Hmm, unless the carol singers broke out the flick knives and started demanding money with menaces? I strongly suspect a Daily Express headline similar to this appearing at a newsagents near you over the course of the next month. |
