Expereinced SV rider in Swindon/Chippenham area required....
.......to ride my bike!
i want to know if the suspension feels about right. im used to the suspension on my enduro bike which is pretty soft. on the sv, i seem to feel every bump, tho, i have been going probably too fast so id feel them anyway i guess. im about 12-13 stone ( i think). anyway, serious request, if anybody would like to help me out. thanks |

Your front forks are too soft, try heaver oil.
Unfortunately can't offer you much more help then that. I understand suspension in how it works but I've got no idea what 'good' is. I also haven't ridden a standard SV for some time. Not very helpful am I, hopefully someone else will be along soon... |

Yeah i am about 13 and a half stone. I could try riding it for you, i have my SV and Kwak to compare it with. That said the Last SV I rode after the Kwak i instantly noticed the differance in suspension etc. The SV is very soft in comparison. Having been on the Kwak for almost a year now i might not be able to be the best bench mark as i could well be over critical. But more than happy to ride it ans seee if it feels overly soft. Also everyones idea of a good suspension set up is different as well. |

I think what Stanie is saying that the SV feels rock hard compared to the KTM he has - not soft.
I have a CRM 250 ( and had a KTM 200 EXC ) and compared to a trial bike designed to soak up the bumps - the SV feels like it's got solid suspension !! I reckon the SV will be fine - just needs getting used to ? Nana |
