SV 650 Life expectancy
I many miles can I expect a SV 650 to go (if ridden normally)before it needs a rebuild?

the suspension/brakes lines etc will be the first parts that will have a noticable drop in performance. I had a cb500s that had noticably softer suspension after 40,000 not sure when sv start to go though
as people said before the engine should go on for ever |

Yep, most of us will crash/have it nicked or smashed up in an accident/sell it and move onto another bike well before the bike gives up. And that's when you're riding a lot of miles every year. If you're average and doing no more than 5-10000 miles a year the life of the bike (before it gets knackered) is barely relevant...

Horizontal's 650 is now up to 80,000 abused and neglected miles, it looks a bit doggy but starts and runs well enough, it carries his not inconsiderable bulk 100ish miles to work and back every day, and of course it's needed a regular diet of tyres and chains and brake-pads etc, but I've known the bike for all but the first 2-3000 miles and to my memory nothing of any consequence has ever gone wrong with it.

well all depends.
my SV has done over 300,000 miles. had 4 new engines, 2 new frames, 5 new wiring looms, gone through 10 sets of calipars ect ect |
