So its done around 62k miles. It i'll for alot further.
There is definitely two orgers got 100k+ one theirs. Sid and YC will confirm life span.

There isnt a known point of failure as a bike engine will go for as long as a car motor.
Pan euros regularly did 250k when used by the police over here.

I replaced my original front pads at around 70,000 miles. Not much left on them at that point but they still worked. My other SV had to have the pads replaced at 35,000 as they just didn't work anymore. I can only put that down to the my second SV not being used for a year, while my original was used every day until it was parked.

Got one with 106,000 miles on the clock.

There are plenty of completely dead SVs which are a lot younger than that though - how you look after it and how use it really are the deciding factors.

98,000kms is about 60,000 ish miles - plenty of life left in it if it's looked after right.

Following regular oil changes and never needing a top up between services I neglected to bother checking it, only for it to blow up on the A21 with 22 000 miles on the clock. If we can rebuild it I hope to do many more on it - possibly as a track bike!
