Default Planned Curvy 'mods' - advice?

Hi all

Drew up a mods list earlier and just looking for opinions/advice. Bike is a 2002 curvy.

Currently:
- Delkevic 350mm slip on
- Fender extender
- Rear hugger
- DIY tail tidy
- Tinted screen
- Clear mini indicators
- Iridium spark plugs
- Conti road attacks
- Rear seat cowl
- Bar ends
- Red aluminium dust caps (yes i know )

To do:
- K&N oil filter
- Oil change
- K&N air filter
- Fit lower fairings
- Respray keeping colour yellow
- Spray wheels black
- Yellow rim tapes
- R6 throttle tube
- Stompgrip/tank pad
- Crash bungs
- Red Braided brake lines
- Remove grab rail
- Heated grips
- Replace rear shock ZX6R/ZX10R/GSXR
- Replace fork oil and springs
- Paint brake calipers red?
- Possible chain sprockets... is it possible to 'upgrade' these?

All of which is relatively straightforward but I'm a little apprehensive about mucking about with the suspension. my main questions regarding this are what to go for? Shock and forks wise. On a low budget so not looking for a branded shock or anything fancy. I'm 6ft 12 stone. What oil to go for in the forks/springs etc.

Other than those I'm just casually replacing bolts/screws which are rusting with stainless steel ones as I go atm.

Anything else you'd recommend that I'm missing? Any comments on current plans?

Cheers!

Bordtea

My only advise would be forget the rim tape! I bought a bike today with rim tape on, posted one picture on Facebook and already got lots of abuse. Might keep it on just to p1ss them off

Haha! I reckon it can look quite good if it's done properly and kept clean. I've got the tapes now anyway so I may aswell put them on to see what they look like. Gonna spray the wheels first though.

Don't let anyone put you off getting rim tape, everyone knows it's awesome. Fact.

simple.. would rather spend the cash on go juice than worry about the difference of a cppl mm in throttle rotation.

R6 throttle seems fairly cheap and cheerful so reckon its worth giving a go.

Heard lots of differing opinions on rim tape! I'll whack it on and see how it looks, decide from there

Coming to think of it Bib some of them are a bit chavvy, may have to have a rethink haha, though I do reckon calipers can look good painted.

Aluminium dust caps can be a 'mare' to get off if they oxidise on (mine were cheap though) as i had some and had to cut them off (what a faff) Now replaced with good old plastic ones

Chewies bolt kit & some other stuff from there. Also the pro bolt screen bolts from ebay that match your bike colour.
