i sit in on my MOTs and it is straight forward! guess the cost pays for their own license to do it in the first place....plus about £25 tax?!!!

the new mot should take 45 mins on a car, because your logged into dvla the system should know how long its taking.

10 minutes does seem pretty damn quick.

I would say 15-20.

20mins is supposed to be the approved testing time on the computerised system and thats 20 mins doing the MOT, add in the 5 mins logging the bike into the system and then printing cert brings it up to 30mins

Mine has always been about 20-30 mins though I haven't actually clock watched, certainly longer than just 10! Doesn't seem long enough to enter the data into the system etc

From what I remember after talking to the guy doing my MOT last year it takes 20 minutes as thats how long the bike is logged on to the computer for. In that time he can't do any other MOT's which has meant that he spends most of his time chatting to the customers waiting for the clock to run out.

But thanks for reminding me I need to get a new one soon.
