I don't think those would help!!
As for braided hoses you do not need them to stoppie the SV. I have a standard set up and have no problem doing them provided the tyre and brakes are up to temp, just ask Strechie, I even performed this little trick with him on the back!
I would also not recommend attempting to learn them in this weather as you will need a dry road or you will just lock the front, and that ain't pretty.
