That comes down to what you want from a bike. Given the choice between the two I'd have the RS250.

As for why the OP is finding it difficult to shift this example, I'd say its the price particularly with the current economy. Using the example above the FireBlade makes a more sensible choice as its more usable, the RS is very focused and will cost more to maintain if used regularly as it is intended.

While I'm no expert on the prices of RS250's (3XV's are where my interest is) I'd say its at the top of the price range, for that model and year in that trim. Parkers though is way off.
