I've got a Toshiba Regza that is lovely - I only use it for gaming but the one thing I've noticed about mine compared to others is that the 60Hz refresh rate compared to 50Hz makes a massive difference. My friends Sony is nowhere near as good even though they're both 1080p.

Depends how keen you are on HD I spose otherwise any large slab of cr@p will do?

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004TQOXLS

The buggers have just put it up £50

If you happen to have an account with CPC or Costco they're both pretty good for telly's, if not keep watching amazon as they lower their prices dramatically at times to boost sales, ebuyer and play.com are also worth watching.

indeed, I don't think you can actually browse the web (could be wrong) but think you're given a menu of free online channels

Costco are good for Tvs, not the cheapest but you get a no quibble 5 year guarantee for free, I know a couple of people who have returned Tvs after 3 years plus and had them changed no problem.

I'm due a new tv soon so will defo consider Costco.

Sounds good - the opposite of Currys. They insist on sending stuff off to be fixed, I've known a couple of people had issues with them. Worst one had their tv in repair for 3 months!! no replacement or loan in the meantime. Avoid massively!
