Default Building an SV minitwin?

Hi all,

Just taken my license so I'm allowed to compete. I've chosen to race on the minitwin cat. I've got two options either take my current k7 or get another pointy/curvy and race prep it.

I know it's cheeky asking but what is the best way to go about upgrading etc the sv to be competitive even tho I'm a novice

Any help would be gratefully appreciated

I had a feeling someone would say that.

I know its not going to be cheap but I do have the funds to at least get started.

Would I be better with the pointy or curvy? Never riden the curvy so any info on that model would be great but I do own the pointy which I've risen since 07 and done 40k on her.

With a 72hp limit and a limited amount of modification permitted I would get a cheaper curvy and spend your money on a made for purpose shock, sorting the front suspension out and having lots left for tyres.

I'm guessing that the curvys suspension is as bad as the pointys?

All SV suspension is budget mate. You couldn't race with stock suspension, no chance.
Look at the rules on the minitwin site and you'll see this class was designed to keep things competitive so it's not the bloke with the biggest wallet that wins.

That was a general question I wasnt implying I would be running stock suspension at all as I know what the pointy is like I'm the road and track
