Default Personalised plates

More late night ebaying has resulted in the purchase of a personalised plate.

The seller has sent me the retention document and has already signed section 6

I want to stick it straight onto my car for which there is a fee of £80

However do I first need to transfer the retention document to my name for which there is a further fee of £25?

Anyone done this before?

Chz

Phil don't you mean www.imachav.init

Cheers NTECUK, looks like I need a V62 ‘application for a vehicle registration certificate V5C’ form

But in order to add a nominee (me) I need to this

Adding a nominee or taxing your vehicle when you assign the number

You can add a nominee when assigning the registration number by:
  • completing section 2 of the V750 or V778
  • enclosing the £25 nominee fee by cheque or postal order payable to DVLA (do not send cash)
If you need to tax the vehicle at the same time, you’ll need:

If you pop along to your local office they have all the forms and as long as every thing is in order they do it there and then .
