Default Best Horror movie EVER!

I hereby nominate American Werewolf in London. It had the laughs, the gore, proper storyline, characters and actually was a good film in it's own right.

Hellrasier: Deader

I can't remember if that's the right title or the number (could be 6 or 7) but its the one where the reporter goes to Prague. To be honest most of the later Hellraisers were very good you wouldn't have believed they were straight to video, (The originals aren't bad either).

But if your after something a little more mainstream 28 Days Later is great as is Saw 1 and 2 (but unfortunately you can only really enjoy them the once).

Wrong wrong wrong wrong. It's Zombie Flesh Eaters. None of these ultra-fast modern jumping zombies, just hideous slow rotten dead things, slowly coming to get you. Ace monster effects, no stupid cgi, keyboard music that makes the hair stand up on the back of your head. Watch it, I love it.

My fave scary moment in a movie was the original Ring TV sequence but for the most profound effect it has to be Jaws. As a kid growing up on the North Cornish coast seaweed was never just a dark shadow on the seabed anymore it was a shark waiting for me to look away so it could bite me in half

Weirdly when a shark did pass close by (Basking) it was really cool. Still scared of seaweed though

American Werewolf in London is still one of my favourite movies and yeah, Shaun of the Dead's up there too.

Both are slightly pipped for me by Dog Soldiers though. The cast commentary on the DVD is great too - it's not so much a commentart as just listening to five blokes watching the movies, having a few brews and a laugh about it. They even stop talking for the best line too.
