Default Changing Camshafts

Im going to be visiting a bike breakers yard in the next week to try and get hold of some Pointy intake cams for my Curvy. What i would like to know is what is a fair price for a set of used cams? And how much is a breakers going to ask me for? Plus anything to look out for on the camshafts themselves.

Thankyou!

Wont they be rusty as hell?... I remember when doing the pointy rebuild two of them dried out slightly and the rust spots were starting to show..... Dont get wrong i wouldnt buy them new but if someone can give some advice on how to spot a reasonable set and clean up advice it would be worth it.

There is only one i know of and I'm going for the first time so I don't know what to expect. My mate calls it Oxford Bike Breakers, online I've found it under Royal Oak Farm.

Have you ever been?

I don't know. So look for rust then. Is any rust a big no-no?

Don't know that company, was just wondering.

As for what to look for rust, scoring on the polished surfaces, bluing from heat. Anything that doesn't look like it came from the factory. As for price, the cheaper the better, can't remember what I paid for mine but search on here for previous asking prices in the for sale section.

4hp maybe. You can feel difference.

Markings are a little different as you're swapping between in and ex.
