Default Brough Superior.

Look at what my mate turned up to work on today, a genuine 1928 Brough Superior. I totally love this bike.

yeah right, this thing is worth about £200,000. Normally it's a lot shinier but it gets used regularly and was out in the recent bad weather. If it gets nicked you simply follow the trail of oil spots....

Brilliant machine.

So whats the story behind it, how many miles has it done, and can I have a go on it?

I'm told if I'm lucky he may let me ride it. I'll find out a little more of its history and let you know. Got a video to upload of it running when I get a sec.

Thats awesome, me likey

This is my neighbours current bike...

He's been restoring bikes for years, he's in his 80's, makes all his own stainless bolts etc on his rebuilds onn his lathe in the garden shed.

He's got two other Velocettes in his garage thats he's rebuilding, talented guy, the rebuilt motorcycle museum (which is 5 mins away from us) has purchased a bike off this guy and he's done a rebuild for them i believe.

Funny you should say £50. My dad when he was just starting out on bikes was offered one for that price,,he told him to shove it.

He doesn't like me reminding him of that part of his life lol.
