I am going to attempt to the use a dremmel to take of my old exhaust to fit a Remus. However it really doesn't look up to the job to me.
Is it really possible? Has anyone on here tried it? And what are the pitfalls to look out for? Is there a method I should follow to do it? Any help greatly appreciated thanks, Dan |

I think an angle grinder would be best as the standard exhaust is double skined (on a curvey at least).Though I imagine that it would be possible but probably not the cleanest of cuts with the Dremmel. Also if you do go with the Dremmel use the heavy duty cutting discs as the standard ones will only last a couple of minutes.

Hacksaw - took me 10 mins.
Take off the footpeg to give you a bit more room, Draw a line so you got something to follow, 40 - 50mm from the weld I seem to remember, Cut away.......... A dremel will take ages, and use a fair few cutting disks. Once you have it off remember to fire it up - just to see ![]()

Use an angle grinder!
I found the dremmel cutting disks just disapear before your eyes and don't do much cutting. |
