I hate it just as much as you do, believe me. But you must also believe that I will be adjusting them responsibly.
And if the Optics are low quality and produce uncorrectable light scatter?

Or if you are going up-hill/downhill/at a different level to other traffic?

Or dirt/bugs on the lenses do likewise?

2 of those questions are answered by the fact that LEGAL HIDs require self-levelling and self-cleaning mechanisms.

Gosh, you got me there ey?

But to be completely honest, any normal non-self levelling light blinds the **** out of me when they're behind me going up/down hills or bumps... not just HIDs

LOL - as mentioned previously I have done a few mods on my bikes in the past - I also rejected others where they were impractical or too iffy legality wise.

As also said, your bike, so do what you want with it, chances of getting trouble from the legal issues are VERY slim, so if you are willing to risk it, then go for it

Not trying to catch you out, just making sure that if you ever post about trouble I can say "Told you so" - hehe

Oh and I also reserve the right to spray-paint your lenses black if they ever dazzle me

*update* I have connected the wiring for the halo/ring light to the sidelight wiring so now it switches on/off perfectly.

However, now I would like to be able to control the main projector. What sort of wiring and switch would I need to be able to do that?

Mind me asking why you want to ever turn the lights off?
