I don't think a K4 has a lambda sensor so the FI can't adjust itself automatically. I think you can remap the ECU but not without dyno time

Thanks for the advice. I am going to fit the K&N tonight and se how it is. I will fit the can (when it arrives) and then take it to a bike mechanic friend to see if he can check all the settings in his garage. I am going to be running it with a baffle in the exhaust and it is a FI bike so hopefully it will adjust automatically. It has a lambda sensor so I reckon might be ok.
Thankss again Scarey |

Fitted K&N and to be honest can't say I noticed ny difference at all, not that I really expected too. Went to the local main dealer to enquire about a dyno test when I fit the new can. They have suggested either a dyno run or if I want to go the full hog to have it connected to 'Yosh Box'. Apparently this was designed for Suzuki's in mind?? According to the dealer it will allow me to smooth everything out and alter the mapping accordingly. Cost £120. Anybody done this and of so how did you find it and what price where you charged?
Thanks Scarey |

I stuck an end can on mine and fitted the K&N panel filter yesterday. Ran fine.

I stand corrected about the lambda sensor. I'd whack the can on and try it, the Fi should adjust itself to suit, it won't be a long way off stock so should manage it. if it runs like a bag of spanners you'll know soon enough.

I stuck an end can on my old SV and it ran ok, but with the ZX I had it dyno'd scary when they're doing it to see your pride revved that hard and be that load, but would recommend.

My K & N made for a nicer induction growl, alas that became not noticable once the "cans " went on. I have not had it dynoed, one thing for certain is that it is much freer revving and pulls much better than it did. It is definitley not running lean. (Baffles are in).
