Re: My RGV 250 Rebuild
Hey Dan, if that rgv had been in a vacuum bag and was such low mileage, why the rebuild?
I would have thought it would have been spotless. |

Re: My RGV 250 Rebuild
It was lol. And it ran like a dream. It's the usual thing I wanted a Swantz Lucky Stripe Rep. I will probably spend the next 10 years building it, and then finally agree with you lol!
Basic answer is I want it like new. |

Re: My RGV 250 Rebuild
Very nice.
However I wouldn't have resprayed the plastics. If they are only subject to 5000 miles then they must have be near mint and I don't think Suzuki make them anymore. I would have found a set of used and abuse plastics and sprayed them... But out of interest Billet Power Valves, where from? And are you doing any other work to the engine? |

Re: My RGV 250 Rebuild
The plastics weren't my cup of tea. They were purple. I don't intend selling the bike so I took the plunge. They look the bollox now, much more to my preference.
The billet valves were from the Sean at thetuningworks.com. I am also fitting Cougar cylinder heads, £470., silicon hose kit., £90, Top end replacment, £340, New Valves £460, Lomas Titanium Race system £700. As you can see it has become a bit of a labour of love. |

Re: My RGV 250 Rebuild
Yeah trouble is the money has run out, now and so has the time. Fortunately I have all the parts in my loft ready for the rebuild.
