I use it for general cleaning, but I much prefer GT85 for lubrication, it smells so much nicer

No. Brake cleaner for cleaning. Proper oil or grease for where oil or grease is required.

It doesn't really work for proper cleaning, it doesn't work as a penetrant oil, and it's a naff lubricant. I use it very rarely, for cleaning stuff that carb or brake cleaner might eat.

agreed.. I use degreaser to shift old oil and grease... and white lube for bits that needs lubing , scotoiler for the chain and Heingericke's version of muck off for the rest...

oh and a high (ish) pressure hose...

Love GT85. Motorbikes, bicycles, garden gate, door lock, letter box...

Basically I put it on everything except my cornflakes. And I'm working on that.

The WD40 stands for Water Displacement 40th Formula and it's lubricating properties are incidental. The weirdest use has to be on nightclub toilets - it dissolves cocaine apparently!

It is amazing what you can learn on here.

Next time I have to clean cocaine off the coffee table after one of our little parties.

Any idea how to clean speed off of the cat?
