Yeah but I know the cops and CCTV - it never turned on/pointing the right way when you need it to be...
Well in London thats the case.

For recovery it is. For insurance covering breakdown repairs it is not.

what a pile of poop.
Would you like a pile of it to throw at them? From what i've seen in other threads in bike issues, both AA and RAC are pretty poor. I'm glad Carol Nash do the whole package included in the policy. I know I can't drive, but if I did I'd like to think I was covered just as much with that as I am with the bike.

I`ve just got home from work!!!!!
First AA patrolman arrived and even though i`d told them that the suspension spring had collapsed and possibly the strut they sent him but he couldn`t move the car so had to call a flat thing lorry. By this time it was raining cats and dogs, it was truly coming down in buckets and I only had my uniform on (I`d redressed after running round the car park naked) Still he was a nice bloke and we had a good chat and a laugh, he rides a CBR1000. Just as I was getting concerned that they`d have to lock the gates to the car park the other vehicle finally arrived. I had time to get a nice picture of the very nice AA man doing an org lunge but sadly for some reason it didn`t store on my phone ![]() As I`d got nowhere with the AA I had the car relayed to Mototechs house and he`ll do the work for me. He very kindly then lent me his bright orange van ![]() Drove home, attempted to pull into my road but there was a fire engine blocking the main road. Crap I thought... i`m very sorry for who ever has probably set their chip pan on fire whilst deep frying their fish fingers but I just want to get home ![]() ![]() At this point in time I got a bit excited but this was short lived because I suddenly remembered that:- a) I`m soaked wet thru and my hair that was washed this morning and looked nice is now sticking to my head in wet strands and I`m resembling Medusa b) I`m in a bright orange van ![]() c) My St. Tropez false tan that i had applied at lunch time and should be showered off tomorrow morning to reveal a subtle silky bronze finish has now actually started to come off in all the rain so rather than a sun bronzed goddess I`m now looking like i`ve been tangoed with the orange of the van complementing my orange streaks! Cal me ungrateful for the loan of the van (and I`m not) but all the above is so not a good look when faced with 8 strapping firemen ![]() I`m now home, sod the car, sod the St. Tropez I`m gonna open a bottle of red and to hell with it i`m off work tomor. WHAT A DAY!!! PS: On a positive note tho I have just found out that it is only the suspension spring, strut is ok so nope it shouldn`t be too expensive. |

Spring: forty quid or so
Fitting: max two hours labour (should only take 1 for a pro) @ 35 quid an hour (non main-dealer price) Max damage: £110 Worth not bothering with the AA for that I'd say. |
